Preserving Agricultural Diversity

On the farm we grow organically apples, pears, cherries, plums and peaches. The young orchard, with 170 plants selected from old varieties of the Casentino Valley, contributes to the project of restoration and conservation of genetic resources of the valley. In spring the various and colored flowers of the fruit trees look like an extraordinary impressionist painting.
Together with fresh fruit our guests can taste every morning excellent homemade jams.

The Organic Vegetable Garden

We also have a vegetable garden cultivated without the use of pesticides where we produce zucchini, tomatoes, aubergines, peppers, onions, salad, potatoes…, in short most of what we serve our guests.
In August you can take part in our Farmer’s Party by collecting potatoes or tomatoes and above all having a friendly lunch with good Tuscan wine!

Our Farm House Pets

By the farm there is also a small flock of sheep for breeding, two white ponies (Mon Cheri and Nuvola), a spotted horse (Luna) and three lovely cats (Alis, Tex and Zeno).
All our animals are willing to get in touch with you and your children and our guests are allowed to accompany us at times when we feed them.
